JOHN CHEN, HEAD COACH

Coach Chen indulged in an illustrious badminton career as not only a professional badminton player but also a team member of the China Canton (Guangdong) Team from 1977 to 1983. He notably joined the Sports Troops of the People’s Liberation Army at the age of 16 and only two years later, became the Singles Finalist at the People’s Liberation Army Badminton Tournament.


With over 20 years of extensive coaching experience within Canada, Coach Chen aims to share his very own passion and knowledge as a professional player with the next generation of eager competitors. He further hopes to inspire young athletes to discover their full potential and ambitious drive while still promoting a love for the sport.
